Storytelling as a Service

Coffee is a commodity; LUNAR is an experience. The challenge was to translate the sensory atmosphere of a premium roastery into a digital storefront without losing the human touch.

The Mission

Elevate the Transaction. Most e-commerce sites are vending machines. We wanted to build a gallery. The goal was to make the act of buying coffee feel like a curated journey through its origin.

The Solution: Headless-Lite

We pushed Shopify’s Liquid to its absolute limit, integrating GSAP animations to create a fluid narrative experience.

  • Scroll-Linked Origins: As users scroll, the journey from farm to cup is animated, educating the consumer on why this bean matters.
  • Tactile Micro-Interactions: Custom cursors and hover effects that mimic the fluidity of liquid, adding a subconscious layer of polish.
  • Frictionless Conversion: Despite the heavy visuals, the path to checkout is optimized for speed, ensuring art doesn’t get in the way of revenue.

The Impact

A 35% increase in session duration and a significant boost in “Subscription” sign-ups. LUNAR’s digital presence now matches the premium price point of its product.
